Panorex x-rays give Dr. Baer and Dr. Smith a full view of your oral cavity. It provides valuable information about:
• the position of wisdom teeth
• receding bone levels, which is a sign of periodontal disease
• possible jaw-joint problems
How it works:
You are comfortably seated and the x-ray head rotates around you. A panorex uses high-speed film, so the amount of radiation needed is very low. In fact, even if you’ve recently had other x-rays taken, a panorex does not add to that exposure.
